EDIE, inc. / R&M Industries is a new collection created by Edie Roberts, the former partner in the
home design firm Roberts Domond. In her 12 years as designer, Edie's goal was to bring a sensibility
and an eye for detail not seen in the market. This new collection was conceived with the same
philosophy which made the Roberts Domond line unique.
The EDIE, inc. collection's emphasis is on lush fabrics embellished with luxurious details. The collection
features bedding, decorative pillows and bath, made in silk, linens and fine cottons. These are detailed
with stitching, tucking, beading, and other dressmaker touches, which recall Edie's years spent as a
fashion designer. In addition, this new collection also utilizes production in India and China, taking
full advantage of the intricate hand-detailing which artisans in these countries specialize in. These
include weaving, knotting, knitting, laser cut and other hand-work embellishments, impractical to
produce in the United States.There are some items in the collection produced domestically, fabricated
and shipped from California.
As the company Roberts Domond, Edie Roberts and Diane Domond exhibited in many trade shows. They
participated in the New York Gift Show at Pier 92 in "The Pier Group" section from 1994-2002. In addition,
the company exhibited in the Atlanta Gift Show in the "High Design" section from 1994-1999, for which
they won an award for "Best Booth Design" in 1995 and 1996. The company has also exhibited in the
"Home Textiles Show" and the High Point Furniture Show".
